Director Biography – Takuya Inaba
Takuya Inaba is an animation director. After graduating Kyoto Seika University, he joined Robot Communications Inc. Since 2022, he has been working as a freelance director. He has worked on character designs and animation for children, as well as TV commercials, music videos, and picture books. He is known for the original short animation “KURO” (2010) , the original short animation”Golden Time” (2013) and ” Jun: A Stroke of Spring ” (2022), a short animation based on Shotaro Ishinomori’s original manga.
“Golden Time” won the Excellence Award in the Animation Division of the 17th Japan Media Arts Festival, and the Audience Award and the Light of Asia Award at the SICAF (Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Film Festival) in 2013. He won the Grand Prix at the JAAP INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL 2022 for ” Jun: A Stroke of Spring “.
