Film Director‘s Statement about the Film
Young people have always had difficulty in living, but I am amazed at the too-sensitive consideration of today’s youth. However, the world described in this film is a microcosm of our society. In an age when “diversity” is called for and excessive kindness is demanded, one’s own position is seen through depending on the perspective from which one perceives this story.
The protagonist, Amane, has sensory sensitivity. The buds of appreciation for “diversity” that she nurtures are about to be trampled down by the system in the form of “division”.
Nevertheless, the troubled, suffering, and wounded Amane’s attempt to win her place in the world with her own hands is a message not only to the youth but also to adults.
